Can I use my own doctor If hurt in a car accident?
Answer:
Sometimes you can. Typically, however, primary care physicians are not willing to get involved in the treatment of car accident cases for a number of reasons (namely that they do not want to become involved in the litigation of a matter or be called to testify) and generally will not bill your PIP coverage which is your primary coverage, per Florida law, in the case of an auto crash. You will likely have to find a different treatment provider.
